  	William H. Lahey, 80, District Pioneer Passes. William H. Lahey died today at a local hospital where he had lain ill since last May. He was 80 years old. His parents were John Lahey and Margaret Killeen, farmers of South March, and until he came to Ottawa 25 years ago Mr. Lahey farmed the same land. In Ottawa he worked for some time at the Canadian National Railway shops and later entered the employe of the corporation of Ottawa. He married the former Elizabeth Kelly of South March in 1896. She died 8 years ago. Five sons survive: Clifford, Edward, and William of Ottawa, Gerald, in Iceland with the Canadian troops, and Clarence, on active service in Canada; and three daughters: Mrs. Leo Dore and Mrs. E. Brazeau, both of Ottawa, and Mrs Lucien Bourguignon of Lachine. Two brothers, Thomas Lahey of Ottawa and D.B. Lahey of Buckingham, also survive, as do several grandchildren. The funeral will take place from the McEvoy Brothers funeral parlors on Monday at 7:45 a.m. for requiem high mass at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 8 o'clock. The body will be taken to Notre Dame vault and burial will be in South March in May.
