  Notes	In the last will and testament of Angélique (Ménard) McGlade, Willie Lee Herrichon is described as her "adopted son" who is "also known as William Madden." He marries Catherine Murphy as "William Madden," son of Michael Madden and Mary Scanlon, at Tweed, Hastings, Ontario in 1897. In his marriage record, his birthplace is listed as Perth and his residence as Montreal, occupation tailor. In the 1881 census, he is living with the widowed Angéline "Harishau," where his name is given as "William Harishau" and his ethnicity is listed as Irish not French. Why was he adopted? According to an obituary in The Daily Times (Davenport, Iowa), he had two sisters: a Mrs. Barker of Philadelphia and another sister in Washington, D.C. Presumably these were his half-sisters? Daughters of Michael Madden? or of Mary Scanlon? [3] His wife, Catherine Murphy, may have been a relation of his stepbrother (i.e., his adoptive mother's stepson), Arthur Joseph McGlade
